Description: MECHANICAL MUSIC - LOT OF TWO SAYDISC 1970s & 80s UK VINYL LPS, DETAILS BELOW Here is a pair of LPs on the Saydisc label featuring music produced by mechanical instruments housed in the Devon Museum of Mechanical Music and the West Cornwall Museum of Mechical Music. The instruments included from the Devon Museum are the Clockwork Piano, Automatic Jazz Band, Mortier Organ Aolian Roll Organ; the West Cornwall Museum recordings featurer 3 mechanical electric pianos - The Weber Unika, The Weber Grandezza and the Kuhl & Klatt Electeric Piano - with various accompaniments. Please see pictures above for more details and read below descriptions for full details and condition 1) • "MORE MUSIC FROM THE WEST CORNWALL MUSEUM OF MECHANICAL MUSIC (VOL. 2)" (Saydisc SDBL 256, 1974, stereo, fully laminated sleeve) The sleeve is about VG with some signs of age; slight storage outer rim record-shaped impression and a little related rubbing, an outer rim related laminate ripple to front (1 o'clock) and to rear (2 o'clock and 4 o'clock, by spine), a couple of very small lines/crinkles by the spine and a thin vertical stip of laminate lift by the spine to the rear only - please see all pictures above. The record is visually VG with about 4 small 'grey' grooves in the dead wax between tracks 2 and 3 on Side A, similar to start of track 3 on Side B and to the middle of track 6 on Side B (all 'with thr grooves' like a heavy stylus has been used?). Otherwise just a few light/very light and hairline surface marks dotted about - nothing major and I can find no deep or feelable marks or scratches.2) • "THE DEVON MUSEUM OF MECHANICAL MUSIC" (Saydisc SDL 314, 1981, stereo)The sleeve is also about VG with some signs of age; slight storage outer rim record-shaped impression, a few small lines/crinkles by the edges (spine and seams), a little corner and edge wear/rubbing and - to the middle of the top seam - there is an approx 1" split (NOT right through, just the top layer) which I have put a piece of Scotch invisible tape over - this will peel off if you prefer (unlike sellotape!). Finally a little rubbing about 1/4 way down the spine and also near the base of the spine - please see all pictures above. The record is visually EX with just the odd very light and hairline surface mark here and there only. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE FOLLOWING1) Remember that I can send up to 30 x 7" singles in the UK for only £3.95 (Royal Mail 2nd Class), any other quantities please get in touch first. IF YOU WIN MORE THAN ONE ITEM, PLEASE WAIT FOR MY COMBINED INVOICE BEFORE PAYING - IF YOU PAY FOR EACH ITEM SEPARATELY I CANNOT REFUND THE EXCESS IN FULL DUE TO EBAY FEES!2) All records comes in a sleeve - a picture cover, a company sleeve (original or, if stated, a new repro) or a plain white or black paper or card sleeve. Covers and labels are as seen in the pictures above (actual item always shown) - see below for record grading, which obviously applies to records which have been played ONLY! Visual gradings are as above.3) I consider a surface mark or a surface scuff to be mark(s) which you can see but that are on the top surface of the record only and as such are 'non-feelable'. If you can actually feel a mark - for example, with a finger nail - then I would consider that to be a 'scratch' which would likely cause 'ticks', 'clicks' etc. during play. Any such marks will be clearly mentioned above.4) Due to time constraints, all vinyl is visually graded under a bright halogen bulb - it is only play-graded if specifically stated. Please see all pictures above and if you have any questions or need any more info., don't hesitate to get in touch. POSTAGE AND PACKINGUK - £4.50 by Royal Mail 2nd Class or £5.20 Royal Mail 1st Class. 'Signed For' service is extra. ELSEWHERE - please select the 'Postage & Payments' tab, then choose your country from the drop-down menu and click on 'get rates'. VINYL GRADINGNEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned.MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint).NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition.EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc. TERMS & CONDITIONS*Important* - the ONLY countries I will send to by uninsured mail (for item(s)under £20) are as follows: - UK.Europe (EU countries ONLY and Norway).USA and Canada.Australia, New Zealand and Japan. If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer. Very sorry, but NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number! Most overseas buyers seem to assume this, for some reason! If you want the item to be tracked, please choose the International Signed and/or Signed & Tracked service option at checkout - thanks! Finally, please note that if your item (or if the combined values of the items in a single parcel) is £20.00 or above, then insurance is compulsory wherever you live. This is extra for 'Signed For' in the UK (up to the value of £50, after which extra cover will need to be paid for by the buyer) or via International Signed and/or Signed & Tracked for overseas buyers. In this case, PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE BEFORE PAYING - any incorrect payments will be refunded and reinvoiced - sorry, but no exceptions. Blame Brexit and increasingly dodgy mail services!
