Description: Jack Russell with basket of Puppies - Vintage Tan and White Terrier holding a basket of three puppies in its mouth, with a blue bow on each side of the basket which says “Family cares” - I believe this is a reproduction of the original Staffordshire mantle pairs (there is another one where the basket has pink bows and my research shows they were originally made so that one could sit at each end of the mantle facing toward each other) the paperwork with this figurine says it’s Staffordshire, but I am unable to independently verify that, so I am selling as if it’s a reproduction from the 1930’s. I had not known of the fireplace mantle pairs before encountering this piece - interesting history and cool piece. @ 4 1/2” x 2” x 5 1/4” tall $75 (which is significantly less than what was paid for it in 2008)
