Description: Vintage Ostby Barton OB 10k Gold Womens Mens Signet Ring No Monogram Size 7 Click images to enlarge Description For your consideration is a solid 10k gold antique signet ring made by esteemed vintage jewelers Ostby & Barton, founded 1879 in Providence RI. The owner, Ostby, was actually from Norway and made a name for himself here in America. Tragically, he met his demise on the Titanic in 1912. His company went on to manufacture beautiful well-crafted jewelry for years thereafter until about 1950. This signet ring does not have a monogram, so it's ready for yours. It's old, so there are some surface scratches in the gold which could be polished out by your jeweler, but it has a lot of life left. There are some impressed designs on the shoulders that look like fish (see photos). The face measures 1/2" north to south. It is hallmarked OB 10k, weighs 4.3 grams, is a size 7, and is in fine antique condition. It can be sized by any competent jeweler.
