Description: I usually don’t buy more recent art or pieces this large, but this painting caught my eye at auction several years ago. It’s of what seems to be a white woman and a black woman, both in Victorian clothes, and is called “Family.” The original title of “Two Women” is crossed out on the back. I’m certainly not familiar with the original inspiration for this piece, but many different stories could be a result of the scene it shares. Please see images. Lovely painting in good condition.
