When applied the lock prevents the handle from turning. The press turn handle adjustment is used to position the handle where the user desires to put it for a variety of reasons including leverage and working in tight spaces. By pushing in on the handle you can position it much like a ratchet wrench in any position. This chalk line also is protected by a wide rubber edge protector (see pictures).
