Description: -----> Please see the note about shipping below <----- This is a genuine upholstered Burke 116 chair with a chrome wire base. It's apparently rare, I have not been able to find another like it anywhere online. The basic chair is the same as some used on Star Trek, although those had a different base. This one is upholstered with grey cloth and has a removable seat cushion. It's about 31 1/2" tall at the back, 24" deep and 25" wide. There is some discoloration of the fabric, particularly along the upper edge. Some of this came out when cleaning the chair (the fabric was cleaned with a Bissell Little Green) so it should clear up a bit more with further cleaning. There are some spots on one side of the cushion, and an area few inches long where the fabric has pulled away from the adhesive holding it to the chair's shell. The chrome has tiny rust spots. Pleas examine the photos above to get a clear idea of the chair's overall condition. All these things can dealt with without great effort, or it can be used as it is. --> Shipping - If the chair is shipped as is, the cost would be over $350.00 via UPS Ground. With the base removed, making the package smaller, the cost is less than half that. The quoted price you'll see in this listing is for shipping with the base removed. If you would prefer to not have it removed and pay the higher shipping cost, contact me and I will make the adjustment in the listing.
