Vintage Beautiful 1931/2 Royal #10 Typewriter Beveled Glass Nice W/ Some Issues

Description: Vintage 1931/2 very nice beautiful Royal typewriter model 10 made by Royal Typewriter Co. New York USA, serial number SX 1510440. Beautiful typewriter and in very nice, clean cosmetic and pretty good working condition. The typewriter has beveled glass on each side which gives this piece special attraction. The serial number dates this typewriter in the 1931/2 era. It has a beautiful black luster enamel finish in very nice condition with a few areas of paint loss , chips from over the years. Nice white patina keyboard . Graphics are very nice. Keys strike and return but the carriage doesn’t advance consistently as you should as you type. It will type very well and then it will not advance properly or at all. Please see the typing examples where I have noted where it doesn’t advance properly by the arrows. The paper feed works well, backspace works, ribbon feed good with original spools, new ribbon, light bell, and tab works. Margin release doesn’t work. It has a new ribbon and been cleaned and serviced to some extent. Cleaned and removed all top plates, beveled glass, etc. Each beveled glass has a very small chip, but they are mostly covered by the metal frame, so they are not that noticeable. Nickel plating is good. The tab cover on the back has a few dings and was probably hit at some point causing the machine issues. Also there is a very fine hairline crack on the body next to back right side of the tabulator cover. Not very noticeable but I tried to show it in the pictures. Nevertheless it Looks great.
