Even though on eBay most Sellers refer to ALL of these little dolls from the 1950's as "8 Inch Dolls", I have discovered that there is actually a variety of sizes, ranging from 7.5 inch to 8.5 inch dolls, from this Era..Anyhow, I tried this outfit on several of my Mom's little vtg dolls and found that the best dolls that wear this outfit are the 7-3/4 inch dolls such as Muffie and the early Gingers (not the larger 8 to 8.5 inch vtg dolls, like the PMA dolls).. I have posted photos of an EARLY GINGER doll, modeling this outfit. She is an early Ginger doll with painted lashes (PL) and is 7-3/4 inches tall (NOT 8 inches). I have tried this dress on a few larger dolls that were 8-8.5 inches tall (ie: a P.M.A. doll and an ANDREA doll) and it did not fit them. Therefore, I am convinced that this dress was specifically made for the smaller 7-3/4 inch dolls, such as the Early NASB Muffie dolls or the Early Cosmopolitan PL Ginger dolls from the 1950's.. Also note that this dress will NOT fit a modern Ginny doll since the modern Ginnys are much bigger dolls. .Description: Listed is this cute outfit comprised of a dress and panties. The dress is NOT TAGGED and has a round button in back. Made of a cotton blue and pink flowered fabric w/ blue cotton trim on the edges. It is in good condition, or even better. Also included are the nylon panties which look like they did NOT go w/ this dress since they are made of nylon.
