Description: This very rare 18th centruy Georgian Irish Sheffield/silver plate potato ring comes with a cobalt blue glass liner (I believe this was added at a later date) and 1958 appraisal from a New York City Silversmith. The appraisal gives a date of 1765 and a value of $100. From the research I have done (I am no expert), it may have been made a little later. Needless to say, it is gorgeous and a hard to find item. The lower portion measures 8 1/4" in diameter. Thank you for looking, and feel free to ask any questions. I have not located many of these available for sale for reference. Please share any information you may have.
