This is the movie tie-in paperback edition with an image from the movie on the back. Interestingly, at the time of the book's printing, the movie was still going to be titled THE PHOENIX. Very rare book. Bachmann himself was not only a writer but also a filmmaker. He wrote several entries in MGM's "Dr. Kildare" film series and produced such movies as CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED, THE ALPHABET MURDERS, WHO'S LIFE IS IT ANYWAY?, and several of the Margaret Rutherford "Miss Marple" films.
