Description: Originally released in 2007, this over 100 minute program chronicles the present day operations on both the Cumbres & Toltec from Antonito to Chama, & on the Durango & Silverton in Colorado & New Mexico which these tracks were originally built for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Narrow Gauge’s 4th Division. On the C&TS, engines 487, & 488 are operating normal passenger trains while a maintenance speeder follows right behind 487. There’s also some wildlife like birds for instance, as well as taking a tour of the Chama depot area (Note the Harmonica playing a tune after the westbound chase was over). Meanwhile, 484 moves a caboose, while 487 turns around for its eastbound trip to Antonito, followed by more service scenes at Chama as well as the shops while 489 is in pieces. Later, 487 & 488 are on a Double-header, followed by a freight special with 488. Moving onto the D&S, 486 leads its own passenger train back to the Durango Depot, while 482 waits for RGS Galloping Goose number 5 to pass by, & later leaves the depot. Meanwhile Diesel number 11 takes a spin while sister engine 7 moves the coaches in the yard. 480 also appears as well. At the Hermosa Water Tower, another MOW speeder meets with 482. A Musical Montage is featured at the start, & at the end, it features a bonus segment covering all of the Still Images that are featured in this program. Although this program was the very first one to be made on Blu-Ray, it’s also one of the few Un-Narrated Green Frog titles. I have 2 copies: one on dvd, the other on blu-ray.
