At that time the lamp was dirty, unsightly, had unsafe cracked wiring, and was in need of a complete restoration. The electric cord is about 66" long. It has a weight of over 9-1/2 pounds. As shown in the photos, the underside of the base has been fitted with a new felt pad to protect the tabletop. The metal castings are free of cracks, chips, missing sections, and show no signs of damage.
