It exhibits 'classic' flaking of the Early Archaic Era. It also exhibits 'classic' form with a heavily ground base and lateral edges. Early Archaic Era pieces are extremely rare from Mexico. Much is speculated about exactly where those early peoples migrated from. This example is from the renowned Dr. David Harner Collection who was a former director of the famed Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma who worked shoulder to shoulder with Gregory Perino for decades building the museum's fine collection.
