Goodman's Magazine Management company and its subsidiaries published many of the best men's adventure magazines, including ACTION FOR MEN, ACTION LIFE, ADVENTURE LIFE, ADVENTURE TRAILS, BATTLEFIELD, COMPLETE MAN, FISHING ADVENTURES, FOR MEN ONLY, HUNTING ADVENTURES, KEN FOR MEN, MALE, MAN'S WORLD, MEN, MEN IN ACTION, REAL LIFE, SPORT LIFE, SPORTSMAN, STAG, and TRUE ACTION. Samson Pollen's artwork appeared in hundreds of issues of the Goodman men's adventure magazines. Many were used to illustrate action/adventure, mystery and crime stories by notable authors such as Mario Puzo, Martin Cruz Smith, Richard Stark, Norman Mailer, Ed McBain, Richard Wright, Don Pendleton, Erskine Caldwell, Walter Kaylin, and Robert F. Dorr. Pollen's immersive illustrations transported adventure-hungry readers from tropical jungles to brutal battlefields to raging seas and mean city streets. Samson Pollen painted it all — spectacularly. He was one of the top men’s adventure magazine and men’s adventure paperback cover artists, in the same league with great illustration artists like Mort Kunstler, James Bama, Gil Cohen, Charles Copeland, and Bruce Minney and Earl Norem. POLLEN'S WOMEN is the second book to collect original artwork by Pollen. It focuses on focuses on his "Good Girl Art" (GGA) illustrations depicting alluring women.
