Description: DESCRIPTION: A beautiful unusual pair of 19th-century French gilt bronze with cobalt blue kiln fired enameled jeweled plaques mantle garniture urns/boxes. The plaques seem to be signed on the backside (have not taken out) they are held in place with small nuts. Each with large scrolled bronze handles, wood bases and lids. The back of the boxes are decorated in a bronze diamond pattern with no plaques. Dating to mid 19th century. The boxes have no makers on the bronze. These were probably garniture urns with later lids and bases added. MEASUREMENTS: 8.5" high, 7.25" wide and 3.75" deep. CONDITION: A few small enamel jewels missing.
