Description: Intricately Carved Antique Green Jade Bowl Vessel with Lid & Cups 68 ozs 13x6x4 Inches I am selling this masterpiece for a friend who says that it was displayed on her father's desk for many years. It was gifted to him by a wealthy client about 30 years ago. Nothing more is known about the provenance. The carving is beautifully detailed. I took a couple of photos outdoors because I think the jade is more beautiful in natural light than it is indoors. There is one chip on the edge of one of the attached "cups" where a tiny piece of jade broke off. (See photos.) I see no other damage but included the maximum amount of photos and a video so that you can judge condition for yourself. The dimensions are approximately 13 inches long by 6 inches tall (including lid) by 4 inches wide. It weighs 68 ounces or 4.25 pounds. There is a carved ring around the base of the knob on top of the lid. This is even more beautiful in person. It took my breath away the first time I saw it. I do not know enough about gemstone to say if this is jadeite jade or nephrite jade. Please let the photos be your guide. Actual item photographed.
