Description: This hub is brand new. It was a warranty replacement from my last one that I broke. However I have since switched to a Chris King. This is an i9 Hydra, the hub that has 690 points of engagement per revolution! The hub that sounds like a swarm of Wu Tang killer bees when you're coasting down the trail. This hub came from a set of i9 Enduro 305 wheels, so it uses straight pull spokes, not the traditional "J" bend spokes. It has a Microspline cassette driver type. And a 6 bolt brake rotor mount. It's a 148mm wide boost hub. And it is of course, black. High engagement hubs are great for technical trail riding, the super high engagement makes complicated technical maneuvers on rocks a lot more precise and easier to pull off. They're also good for DH because the faster the wheel rotates, it is effectively increasing the gap between engagement points. So having way more of them means you start applying your power to the ground quicker.
