Description: IndianaGlass Co. - Hen on Nest - This vintage candy dish is created in clear glass with a red comb is one of the earliest made, exhibiting a smooth rim on the nest, circa 1950. No chips or cracks noted. There are three surface scratches located on the bottom, see the last photo. Some paint on comb haspeeled away with the passage of time, see photos two and four.Dimensions5.25"H x 7"W x 5.5"DResearch indicates that these hens were not marked with an actualtrademark or logo representing the company. However, the Indiana Glasshen can easily be recognized by it’s characteristic form. Thetail is narrow and flat, pointing straight back from the head. The cover, the back, of the dish has a mold circle about 1 1/4" in diameter in the center. This circle is actually called a “valvemark” Source: www.glassbottlemarks.com/indiana-glass-company-hen-on-nest-dishes, Bob Rawlings, former plant manager at Indiana Glass. 100% of your purchase will be donated to the Emilie Center located in Great Falls, MT.
