Description: This collection is a treasure trove of my late friend's research and memories as a retired Eastern Airlines employee in Miami. This collection is perfect for collectors of scrapbook ephemera, aviation enthusiasts, and anyone interested in Eastern Airlines' legacy. Included are personal photos, including the historical landing and takeoff of the Concorde at Miami International Airport, newspaper articles of interest, a complete copy of the September/October1953 The Great Silver Fleet News ,featuring the 25 millionth customer (who was also the 1st), the Eastern Falcon newspaper from 3/5/1986, and a Lockheed booklet of 25 pages entitled Why air travelers will prefer Eastern Airlines Jet-Powered Electra Flight for city-to-city trips in the jet age. it's almost humorous to read in light of the delays we experience now days! This collection captures a unique slice of Eastern Airlines history in the last quarter of the 20th century, and it would make a great addition to any collection. The photos are of excellent quality, notwithstanding my photos of them with glare of overhead lights and shadows! Of course, there is yellowing of papers due to their age.
