Description: Beautiful antique green opaline glass box mounted in a gold gilt brass or bronze frame with hanging bell flowers on each corner. Made in the Victorian period around 1870s. The glass is an apple green color in person and has a wonderful fancy cut shape like a clam or other see creature shell. Measures 5.25 inches long x 3.75 inches high x 4 inches deep. Condition is exceptional for the age with normal age/use wear to the gold decoration. The small braided trim around the lower rim has lifted a little mostly around one side.
