Naka-kawachi of the Horikawa tradition. He was active during the Early Edo (Kambun) era and worked out of his forge in Osaka. He was eventually awarded the rank of Josaku. His father was a disciple of the famous Kunitoshi, alongside Izumi no Kami Kunisada (a.k.a. Oyakunisada). The Sori on this sword is shallow and the Kissaki is longer than usual. The Shinogi-haba is also a bit wider than is usual. The Kitae is Koitame and has a lot of Aranie. The Hamon is beautiful with Kobushi-choji. The Boshi resembles Midare and a Komaru turn. The Nakago is unaltered and the Mei is perfectly preserved.
