Description: Rare French Bebe by Henri Rostal 20 inches tall with heavy painted brows and curved lashes over piercing blue spiral fixed eyes. She has a dimple above and below an open mouth with four teeth. Pale creamy face with pink cheeks. The factory was only open1914 -1916 so there are very few of these dolls. World War One probably was a factor in the closing. A dark brown wig, possibly the original is attached to the pate by a hat pin. She is shown in a second wig of brown with red tints in the sun. There are no cracks or breaks. The body is not marked There isn't a lot of information on the short lived Henri Rostal doll company of rue du Trésor, Paris, France.
