Description: Group of 6 Black Rams, unsexed. - US Bred - NOT IMPORTED.I hatched and raised these fish myself in the US (Oregon)I ship my fish in an insulated box, place a single fish in each bag, add extra oxygen to each bag, add Prime to the water to help with any ammonia build up and include a heat pack when appropriate. I feel these efforts give the fish the best conditions possible during shipping. Preferred temperature of 80-84 fThey are a great center piece fish and will spend lots of time searching the sand/substrate looking for critters/food. Normally a peaceful fish, except when spawning. They will sometimes show aggression towards other rams. Make sure you have plenty of hiding places and objects/plants to break line of sight. They need clean water and are sensitive to nitrates. The fish will range in age from about 3 months to 5 months old. The pictures show similar fish in my tanks, not the exact fish you will receive. Young black rams are not fully black. As they age they will darken and become mostly black like the adults. The females will sometimes have blue speckles. Make sure to properly acclimate the fish to your new tank. Float the bag in your tank until the temperature matches. They slowly add small amounts of tank water to the bag.Before ordering, please ensure your local weather will not be below freezing or extremely hot during the estimated delivery time. I ship with heat packs, but extreme weather can still be detrimental to the fish. Shipping: I only ship fish on Monday. This gives them the best chance of not being delayed in the postal system. It also gives me time to fast the fish, which helps keep their water cleaner during shipping. Orders placed prior to 9pm on Saturday (pacific time) will be shipped on Monday. Orders placed after 9pm on Saturday will be shipped the following Monday (1 week later). Shipping will only be to the contiguous 48 states, delays in shipping to more distant locations can be fatal for the fish. These are live animals and care needs to be taken to give them the best shipping conditions. DOA: To receive reimbursement for the dead fish you must send me a clear picture of the dead fish inside of unopened bag within 2 hours of delivery. Remember these are live fish and have been carefully raised and cared for. Please ensure you will be available when the package is delivered. The shipping fee is NOT refundable.
