It’s hard to believe that the Kaladesh expansion set of Magic: The Gathering will be 10 years old in just a couple more short years! Originally released in September of 2016, the Kaladesh expansion set of the popular Magic: The Gathering trading card game by Wizards of the Coast (a subsidiary of Hasbro) focused on powerful artifacts and colorless cards. To celebrate the set’s theme of artifact cards and to continue a series of “Masterpiece Reprints” that the game manufacturers had started with the previous Battle for Zendikar expansion sets, Kaladesh booster packs had randomly inserted super highly rare cards called Inventions that had alternate art borders and shiny foil finishes! This card is one of those original Kaladesh Invention cards! The Max Opal card is one of the best and most desired of the Kaladesh Invention series, not only because it is a very powerful card in gameplay, but also because it is a very beautiful card with stunning artwork and the series alternate border of the card art looks very good along with the art for this card. Now long out-of-print and with it being unlikely that the card will ever be printed again, getting this card in a Mint 9 condition and slabbed in a PSA protector makes this specific printing of the card an awesome addition to any Magic: The Gathering collector's collection.
