Description: I am offering for sale an early 19th Century French Infantry Briquet Sword and scabbard with a blade that was manufactured by the Klingenthal maker. The spine of the blade has an engraving that states manufacture de Klingenthal Coulaux freres. There is a makers mark on the bottom of the hilt as shown in the photos. The leather scabbard is missing the bottom section and some hardware as you can see in the photos. It is in good condition with age appropriate wear and patina. It measures 33 1/4 inches long (84 1/2 cm) and the blade alone measures 27 3/4 inches long (70 1/2 cm).
