Good Luck!!!A Little History On This Product:With it's glossy finish and thicker card stock, 1990 Leaf Baseball continued the up-scale feel started by 1989 Upper Deck Baseball. Add to that one of the year's strongest lineup of rookie cards and you've got one of the few early-90s sets that remains in high demand today.For much of the 1980s, the Leaf brand was used to market a Canadian version of Donruss baseball. These cards are seen more as an oddball issue than a mainstream set. However, that changed with 1990 Leaf Baseball. The set brought Leaf back into the forefront of the hobby as a premium release.1990 Leaf Baseball card fronts have a simple but distinct design. A bright player photo is surrounded by a thick white border. The bottom border has the player's name and position in a somewhat generic font. The most catching design element is the grey stripe effect in the bottom left of the photo, next to the team logo. Card backs are in full color, offering career stats, a small photo of the player's face and the main biographical details. For younger players, written biographies are used to filled up the space.Rookies of Frank Thomas and Sammy Sosa have long been the key cards in 1990 Leaf Baseball, but there are a handful of other strong options as well. These include Larry Walker, Dave Justice, John Olerud, Marquis Grissom and Carlos Baerga. The set is also popular enough that key veterans like Cal Ripken Jr, Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr and Nolan Ryan are still in demand.Every pack also came with a set of puzzle pieces that fit together to make Yogi Berra. Even these were given a high-end feel with the addition of foil.1990 Leaf Baseball is divided into two series. 1990 Leaf Series 1 Baseball includes numbers 1 to 264. Series 2 covers numbers 265 to 528.To help drum up interest for 1990 Leaf Baseball, some dealers were given a 12-card promo set. These cards are similar to the regular versions except they have "Special Preview Card" written on the back. These promo are rare today and command strong prices when they surface.
