Their manure, which is collected daily from their individual stalls, is a product of premium hay, alfalfa, and specially formulated Thoroughbred Horse feed. The nitrogen/nutrient-rich urine captured in the stall's wood-chip bedding is also part of the raw materials as well. All this material is then mixed together, thoroughly composted, then dried, shredded, and screen-sifted. The final product is dense and nutrient-rich! This compost is produced in our South Texas desert climate, so it is never leached of nutrients by rainfall like some composts are that are produced in areas of high rainfall. After going through the complete composting process, what is left is rich, dark, odor-free, organic compost ready to use on all plants and soils. We package the compost according to volume instead of weight, so the moisture content of the compost will vary slightly affecting the weight.
